Germany 1990 surely (wasn’t alive but still)

and the tradition of discrediting recent champions continues unabated.

Was thinking this yesterday. Looked tosh against the Netherlands the other day and at the world cup it kind of felt, while their individual players got them through, that pretty much any team could beat them on the right day

I’ll take shit teams winning a great final over great teams winning shit finals (like we got in pretty much every World Cup from 1990-2014)

All World Cups are in living memory… are you saying that France 2018 are the worst World Cup winners of all time?!

*a final that was not really any different to a standard UEFA qualifier

Spain and Germany are obviously all-time great teams. Cores of treble-winning club sides too

Don’t ask for much do you.

Was with you til this but come off it

It was fun and lots of goals but felt weirdly slight and I came away from it not thinking either side was that good.

Main feeling from it was that England probably should’ve beaten Croatia and tested the clearly very injured Subasic with some long range efforts

Yeah I reckon it didn’t have the tension of a normal world cup but imo that was more because of England getting to the semis so kind of half switching off when they lost (or at least that’s what it was for me) rather than either of the teams involved. And the game was great

Didn’t see any of the game except for the equaliser. Sensational result.

This whole League of Nations debacle is incredibly funny obviously, and UEFA will be bitterly disappointed with the teams that made the finals.

The thrill of the Nations League is not over yet! If Sweden get a win out of tomorrow night’s game with Russia here in Stockholm then it’s A-League time for the men in blue & gold

I can barely contain my excitement

Decided not to attend the Palace open day day today as I got an email late yesterday saying the only seats they can offer us are the front six rows of the Holmesdale and next to the away fans, which I’ve got no interest in.

I went to the Palace open day and was one of the main debaters with with Steve Parish, shooting down every argument, i think he hates me. I suprised myself with my confidence.

Got my seat though.
