Iceland are great for this. Tasty, quick and cheap.

They’re not that great imo. Really lacking in texture, but are fine for the price. The sainos mushroom sausages are much better

Shroomdogs. Are v tasty in casseroles etc but also nice enough to have as a sausage sandwich/bangers and mash or with chips etc

@cutthelights Made something similar to this and it tasted really good*. I feel you could do something similar for Nduja.

* I didn’t exactly copy the recipe but just used what I had in the house, so can’t really vouch for this, but the thing I ended up with tasted really good in some sweet potato tacos. I know I started with smoked tofu but can’t remember anything else.

Started not eating meat during the week at the start of November but we found it a lot easier than we thought we would so are carrying this on. Haven’t missed having meat during the week at all and like cooking loads of things I haven’t made before.

I still think I fall back onto cheese way too often so am trying to cut that back (Did a menu plan last week and realised every day had a different cheese in so had to re-write it).

Should get yourself a lactose intolerance, that’ll sort you right out.

really take for granted how easy it is being vego in the UK (eating out specifically).

so sick of the only veggie options being : veggie burger, margarita pizza (mushrooms if you’re lucky), or salad in so many places. also the whole lumping gluten free and veg/vegan options together - that’s not how it works ffs. (this happens in the UK a lot too tbf)

Tezzas have some good options now - vegan goujons, fish fingers, southern fried chicken fillets. Or go nuts and pay £5 for two bang average Beyond Meat Sausages.

My mum makes an incredible nut roast/wellington thing and it is absolutely chef’s kiss.

I’ll see if she has the recipe typed up somewhere…

My mum’s nut roast is better than your mum’s nut roast.

I quite liked them :woman_shrugging:

Mushrooms don’t agree with me, which is quite sad.

I like them too, but they’re no match to others I’ve had

Does anybody have a good recipe for falafels? I really like the ones at Eat a Pitta here in Bristol and would like to put that in a sandwich

I’ve never had good falafel. Like eating nothing.
