that album has Not A Second Time, whereas this has Piggies, Ob-La-Di and Revolution 9 so yes

Piggies is the worst. ā€œHey guys, do you think these lyrics might be a bit too on-the-nose?ā€ ā€œNo. Add pig noises.ā€

Sometimes I think this place is turning into cuckoo land.

Robbie Williams is a talented and respected musician, and now the White Album is worse than Beatles for Sale.

points to my post above

Didn’t get into this one really when I started listening to some of their albums when the 2009 reissues came out. Should probably have another go.

Dear Prudence is great though

is it pervading the fabric of the place?

I hope the 27 minute version of Helter Skelter is on this.

I’d say its one of the most underrated, certainly of their Revolver onwards golden period

Whether it’s actually best or not for whatever reason it has always been my favourite. I think it’s the variety in the songs. Every song is different to the next, yet they all sound from the same record, it’s still cohesive, despite being sprawling.

If you can’t be doing with the lesser tracks and want to trim it down to one album, then you have a real stunner.

No-one mentioned Blackbird? Or the Karma Police in spring Sexy Sadie?

Ah, assumed you were talking about Savoy Truffle!

Probably my favorite George song and he’s my favorite Beatle.

It’s good, but I always go for Something

Loads of good tunes on the white album. Always thought Birthday was well underrated, it’s proper fun.

It’s not. There’s a version which is around 10 minutes though.

This is good

The real answer is that it’s both the greatest Beatles album and the worst.

Don’t Pass Me By is probably a nadir on there for me. Revolution No 9 is objectively terrible but has a certain ā€˜but is it art’ quality to it…

But when it’s good it’s great. That opening trio is great. While My Guitar Gently Weeps…

There’s loads to love on here and actually it can be good to listen to Anthology III alongside this.

the first time i heard revolution 9 i was coming down off an E and it was about 4 in the morning in the middle of winter. had to wake my housemate up to keep me company until i could fall asleep. i thought charles manson’s ghost was in the shrubs outside. anyway i think there’s a good 10 track LP to be carved out of the white album.

I actually like Revolution 9, dont @ me

Proper warts-and-all double album. Personally, I love it.
