of course, and it seems to do them well and I wish them well with it, I’m just a bit bored of it. It was the commentary that particularly annoyed me I think

But it’s STIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!!!

Yeah tbf my dad always told me never to mess with anyone who has a special baseball bat pocket in their coat. Seemed weirdly specific at the time.

Apparently never actually booked - they approached him (and a couple of others) then promoted their names without waiting for confirmation.

Should #40 be Brodie Lee/Luke Harper
  • Yes, it will be a nice celebration/tribute
  • No, too soon

Just re-watched the 2014 Royal Rumble PPV just to remember what the reaction was at the end and ho-boy it did not disappoint. Obviously, the booing is not aimed at Mysterio when he comes out at 30, but it’s so loud and only stops when Sheamus or Reigns is on offense.

Reigns winning it looks like it would have been accepted and it could have really pushed him off to the moon from it, but poor old Batista. The booing doesn’t stop or dip in volume.

From watching Punk, I actually suspect he gets 2 concussions during it. The one with Koi is a minor and then another happens at some point, as for a good 5-8 minutes he’s in the corner just laying there. Or possibly that’s when they’re checking him over.
Looking at when he comes out at No. 1 he looks sick. His colour is kind of yellow and his face just looks haggard and worn out

Bad guy Roman is the man

Yeah it’s interesting re-watching that if they’d have pulled the trigger on Reigns there and then they actually could have saved both the night and given him the push he deserved which makes a year later even funnier when they are like “ok we heard your reaction to Reigns here is the Roman Reigns experiment presented by the Rock!” But he’s already been ruined by that point

Yeah punk had a staff infection as well as a concussion I think, it’s one of the things he sued WWE doctors for

And he’s facing… Adam Pearce next,?!!! The fuck

Have you seen how? It was nicely done

Not yet but I know there was a gauntlet match which had 5 rather than 6 announced so I guess that’s part of it

I agree, from the reaction Reigns is getting then, they might have been able to do the mega push he was given and it actually working. Instead of however many years they tried and it not.
Damn, was it really only the next year that everybody had turned on him and we had that weird Rock look at the end? You’ve gotta have a really bad creative for people to hate you that much within a year

Yeah, I remember he had the staph infection and looking back knowing he had it then, he really doesn’t look well at all.

One thing I remember from either it was the Punk/Cabana podcast or another interview was he said he was pulled early, because of the concussion. He’s out there 40 minutes and he’s in the final 4, so it really doesn’t look like WWE did pull him early. Like, what’s the point in WWE doing it at that point?

WWE’s version of events is they wanted him to eliminate himself and he was asked to do so by referees. Eventually Kane was sent to the ring with instructions to eliminate Punk.

The bit that doesn’t hang together is that if they thought he was concussed, why did they allow Kane to put him through the announce table?

Yeah, it’s a really odd situation and trying to figure it all out is pretty near impossible

Adam Pearce was a good little worker, ten years ago. That could be good if he’s kept himself in shape.

Just watched dynamite, loved the world title match. That rolling back flip from the top into a German  early contender for tv moty, but think it could have five more minutes of battering
Have heard both Thunder Rosa and the Bucks match has been dropped from next week because of covid. But I think Rosa and Baker could be worthy of ppv, unless they have something else planned, so that’s not too bad.
