Will leave this stage running till tomorrow I think then do the knockouts.

don’t think any backing bands are much cop really

Group B looking mighty close!

Don’t really see Bright Eyes as a backing band tbh. I know some people get confused and think it’s an Oberst solo project, but it isn’t.

Especially when Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band is actually a real thing that exists.

(Doesn’t really matter though since the E Street Band should walk all of this).

Cannot believe the Attractions aren’t second in their group. Steve Nieve on keys alone! Bruce Thomas is one of the best bass players ever!

Not BT as it goes, but still great.

Was briefly reading about Neil Young’s early career, and accidentally ended up reading the Wikipedia entry for Rick James and it turns out he’s the missing link between The Doors, Neil Young, The Band, The Miracles, The Funk Brothers, and Prince.

In 1964, James fled to Toronto.[5] Soon after his arrival three drunk white men tried to jump him outside a club; a trio of three other guys came to his aid. One of the men who came to his aid was Levon Helm

On one of his first night in Los Angeles, James was crashing on musician Stephen Stills’ couch. When he awoke he saw a stoned young man sitting on the floor in the lotus position. The man’s wrists were bleeding so a scared James sought help. James was later formally introduced to the man who was Jim Morrison, lead singer of the Doors

Yes! And another guy from Buffalo Springfield, and I knew about all that, but there’s so much more funny coincidences in his life, though most of that was due to him being associated with Neil Young.

He also took Prince out on tour with him and got irked cos Prince stole his act, and almost ended up getting killed along with Sharon Tate. Good shit.
