You’ve picked two songs that I like.

The other one is admittedly one of the worst things ever. Living in Blackpool (the hen and stag capital of the north) made it feel like ground zero for ‘Hey Baby’ and really magnifies the song’s awfulness.

Still not in my 3 though.

4 Non-Blondes - What’s Up (the worst)
Robin Thicke - Blurred Lines (the second worst, but most offensive)
UB40 - Red Red Wine (Escapes the top two spots because of the split-vote with Kingston Town)

I didn’t mind it at the time. I thought it was deliberate trolling and a conscious satirical pisstake of the very 2000s trend of totally misunderstanding the context of past “classic” bands/genres/subcultures, i.e. people buying Clash T shirts and saying “Oh, is that a band? I just thought it was a nice top from New Look”, but I don’t know Sandi Thom personally to ask if that was her true intent and invest her with such responsibility for the global intellect.
