£10 is a steal tbh. i’d buy it and even if you get a better offer you haven’t lost much. the trains are an absolute disgrace #votecorbyn

Can we agree that an hour and 15 minutes is enough time to get from the plane to the coach? I’ve already fucked up one thing in planning this trip, don’t want to fuck up any more

not a fucking chance mate

Srs?

like 1m 15 from when the plane is supposed to land to the coach leaving? are you leaving from victoria?

She’s leaving from Gatwick, and getting the coach direct.

EDIT: I think so, anyway…

In answer to the question, it depends whether you’re checking in any luggage, or whether you’re only taking on hand luggage. If it’s the latter, definitely. If it’s the former, probably.

You can use an Oyster card from Gatwick to London. Off-peak its apparently £8.10, and you will just need a credit card, not an actual Oyster.

ah my b, i assumed victoria. yeah probably enough time, unless your plane is late, or there’s massive queues in customs.

From the airport coach station, lol

Gatwick can be a slog between terminals. I would say 75 minutes is probably okay but planes & airports and delays love each other. Depends what the next departure is for a coach. If it’s 15 mins I’d go for that. If it’s 60 mins then just chance 1 hour and 15

Presumably that’s because you have to take a train into London, change to the tube to Paddington and then get a train from there, right?

It’s not much cheaper from Paddington.

I’m definitely coaching. As I have done countless times before, tbf.

PS sorry for hijacking the thread, just didn’t think this deserved a new thread

No apology necessary Ruski, this is literally the entire purpose of this thread and I hope it has been as useful and informative to you as it was for me.

@anon5266188. I can get my match ticket from Tuesday. Just checked train tickets and they are still £83.90.

I think I’m going to pass on it, especially with us looking hopeless, the cost and visiting old Trafford a few times.

You had any luck?

Made an enormous cock up by accidentally booking trains for Huddersfield at home when they’d announced the time of the away fixture so just sucked it up and paid the difference between those and the Palace ones innit.

Blimey. You checked on here:

Might just be because there’s no cheap tickets from your station for the whole journey - break it down into the individual legs and you might find some cheaper fares.

I did check but it made no difference. The £83.90 is the direct train from Euston.

I went to Anfield a few weeks back so that’ll do me for long away trips. I’m definitely going to Huddersfield away through.

Oooh, this just saved me about £50 for a journey next week. CHEERS!
