I’ve only seen the new ones but it seems to me to be a person applies on the behalf of someone who is “getting life wrong” and the team come in to help him get life right largely by buying things.

I’m being somewhat flippant and there is a lot of very nice heartwarming stuff as well but yeah, fundamentally it’s a makeover show and I find makeover shows really troubling.

100% this, it’s the sort of thing I would usually dig but its never clicked and I went to see her to see if it would change my mind and I just found the whole thing so contrived. I’ve made my peace with it now (and she seems like a GBOL)
