Going to use this thread to ask a question that’s been bugging me.

I mention on a tour how dubai love vimto and lots of people believe it was invented there (rather than Manchester).

Now I’ve also heard of this dual heritage thing happening with Guinness in, I think, Nigeria where they woidlnt believe if you told them it was Irish. But I used to mention another example and I cant remember what it was.

Anyone got any other examples for me?

Actually I think you’ll find that Holland actually only means the two provinces of Noord- Holland and Zuid- Holland, neither of which are where my family roots are, so that was a hate crime.

The Brits/abolition of slavery

Do prefer Netherlands or it’s more figuratively accurate translation, ‘‘Hellscape’’

i 100% knew this reply was coming and did it anyway

Don’t the Dutch consumer more milk per capita than anywhere else on earth? You’re fucked, boy.

Nigerian guinness is definitely different tasting as well as the packaging, I’m guessing it must be brewed differently too. I realise this is no help, apologies.

No Epimer.

An edible/drinkable only please.

The word soccer comes from English public schools.
