Things that keep you at arm's length in stuff

Couldn’t give a fuck about anything nautical. Got a boat in it? Fuck a boat, not gonna watch it.

Historical British setting? Nah mate, can’t be arsed for the most part.

Loads of reverb on the vocals? I will be turning whatever this is off almost immediately.

You can say some stuff now please.

I don’t like the phrasing of the title of this thread.

Yeah, usually this for me as well with a couple of exceptions.

I’m trying to think of a record with a nautical, historical British setting that has loads of reverb on the vocals…

Watching anything vaguely serious in tone. Film about the Holocaust? Nope. Any kind of TV program that won’t make me laugh? Fuck that.

Generally fuck off TV and film to be honest.

Animé-style artwork. Especially if it’s got schoolgirls in it.

Bands with extensive back catalogues. Even if I know I’d like the music, I know that I have to be wary of dipping my toe in as I will fully commit and then I’m gone.

Repetitive, addictive computer games, like cookie clicker: see above.

Not British but this is the closest you’ll get.
