The best use of an iron was when I was a teenager and I got candle wax all over the carpet (and my balls!) and my cousin got a piece of kitchen towel and the iron and ironed it clean off.

Depends on what it is.

The trouser press exists, and it’s possible to automate the ironing of sheets and towels - hotels do it, for example.

On a commercial scale, maybe, but I want a domestic ironing solution that takes minimal effort.

Just wear a jumper to work then never have to iron a shirt.

Pretty much never iron anything - but do agree bedsheets are a lot better when ironed…just not worth the effort

Don’t iron work shirts because I wear jumpers over them. Although I’ve got a couple of shirts that could do with it so I just run my wife’s hair straighteners over the collars and bingo.

I have to iron jeans occasionally because I keep them in a drawer, not hanging up, and if they’ve just been washed they need an iron.

Same as the above with t-shirts.

All other shirts I wear casually - 100% ironed every time (EXCEPT the 2 I have that come up just fine by hanging them in the shower when I have one in the morning)
