things that you can't believe are as big as they are

like The Walking Dead, christ, I read the comics and had the first six volumes of the collected issues in hardback and… then the TV show started and now it’s been running for eleven seasons and there are fucking FOUR spin off TV shows coming, loads of video games… like how? i know the answer is “it’s good” but jesus, as successful as fucking CSI!?!

Every single person that I know who watched all of the Walking Dead says that it’s terrible though.

The main Walking Dead show has finished now, they’d got through adapting all of the comics (which itself ran for 193 issues, almost unheard of for a single, non Marvel/DC series these days). There’s also an upcoming eighth and final season of Fear the Walking Dead, two seasons of World Beyond, and a bunch of spin-offs which seem to be mainly six episodes miniseries rather than full length things.

It’s fair to say the quality has been inconsistent, and almost nobody watches it now so I don’t know why they’re still pushing on.

(The answer is because AMC has nothing else)

:smirk: the wreck I’ve made of my life

So many Asian cities generally. If you sort the list on Wikipedia by urban area, the top ten are all 21m+, and eight of them are in Asia.

(London is at 36 on that list, for comparison)

For some reason I always assumed they were small. They are not.

Porcupines. My idiot brain still thinks of them as hedgehog spin-offs rather than spiky units.
