Things where the 'cheap' version is just as good if not better than the 'fancy' alternative

Didn’t someone ask him that yesterday?

Yeah this is a good one. Really not a fan of the fancy ones. Although Mrs F bought a potato salad with tartare sauce in it yesterday so we’ll reserve judgment till then.

chicken kiev is the definitive answer.

Best kiev is the frozen 4 pack from Sainos. Way better than yer Taste The Difference etc.

Oooh, I don’t know about tartare sauce in potato salad, although it’s nicely alliterative.

burgers covers an incredibly wide range of things so it’s hard to agree OR disagree

there are times where nothing on earth will beat a mcdo double cheeseburger and that’s about as cheap as you can get any hot food item

and there are £18 pub burgers that would be steep at £5

but there’s also very very bad cheap burgers out there

No they’re generally meat in a bun. Sometimes with other items involved too.

Lidl Maxx is better than Pepsi Max imo

The stuff in Irish supermarket ‘Supervalu’ is basically mashed potato with mayo and chives. Incredible stuff.
