when americans talk about ‘baloney’, as in, ‘thats a load of baloney! im walking here!’

Baloney is actually spelled Bologna, its a type of cheap salami. somehow the americanisation of Bologna came out as bal-oh-knee

Tony’s best mate in Scarface is the same guy who plays the cartel boss in Breaking Bad/ BCS

One of the Colombian heavies in Scarface is the guy who plays Hector in Breaking Bad/ BCS

Not really a slow to realise as I probably hadn’t seen Scarface in over 20 years (it’s still way too long)

Found out today that… on Android, at least… when some text is selected, the shift key cycles it through upper case, lower case, and each word capitalised. Dunno how long that’s been the case, but I like it.

This is less of a ‘thing you have been slow to realise’ and more of a ‘how on earth have I never heard this before?’

He also has a cockney accent off camera, apparently (the guy who told me that is a massive bullshitter though)

It was a joke:

Doesn’t mean it’s not his normal way of speaking though.

I’m sure I remember reading Antoine De Caunes had a very light French accent but obviously played it up hugely for TV as that was part of his image.

Word can open pdfs and OCR them for you, with a vague attempt at preserving the formatting.

Also Google Translate lets you upload whole documents.

Guess who’s been trawling through a bunch of non-English language, non-OCRd court documents for a week?

Wait till you hear John Barrowman

I noticed for the first time on Sunday that The Spice Girls’ Mother’s Day smash hit ‘Mama’ contains a direct reference to The Talking Heads’ This Must Be The Place (Naïve Melody) in the form of copying the intro synth motif of the latter

just after the first chorus

1m20s here

Insane that this had passed me by for 20+ years until said Spice Girls video appeared on MTV 90s this weekend

They’re public documents and I just need an outline of the contents, I’d be getting The Big Guns in for anything more sensitive.
