Sorry, I don’t know much. Who’s MMB? I know Knock On Wood as the song by Eddie Floyd on Stax Records (1966).

Knock on Wood was David Bowie mate.

MMB is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIGMUAMevH0

Mighty Mighty Bosstones, right.

When you say that Knock on Wood was David Bowie, you’re still talking about the song written by Eddie Floyd and Steve Cropper, yes? And which Eddie Floyd recorded eight year’s before Bowie’s admittedly excellent version?

Wtf, not happy about this. Might have to cross Vaillant out on our boiler and write Valliant above it.

Recent references to ‘Superb Owl’ are in fact an hilarious pun around the name of a really boring US sporting event

Is pizza so called because of pi???!

Just Italian for pie innit?

But wouldnt that make pizza pie a bit like ATM machine??

Yep! Which is why it’s a stupid term.

Just did a bit of googling and some bloke reckons it was when Italian immigrants to the US showed them pizza. They were like “oh, it’s a pie” (because Americans call lots of things pies) and so “pizza pie”. Pie pie.

Blurred cos it’s basically a spoiler for that film if you’ve not seen it

Well I…

Just twigged that the title of that show on Dave - Go Eight-Bit - is a play on the phrase ‘go apeshit’
