‘Mars Bar’ is short for ‘Marathon without peanuts Bar’. For some reason, when they renamed Marathon to Snickers, they decided not to rebrand the Mars as a ‘Snis Bar’.

the ropes used to hold a tent down are ‘guy’ ropes, not ‘guide’ ropes

“Bird dog” is less clear to me, do birds stretch out their opposite arms and legs?

Looked it up and it’s what dogs who help hunt birds do to point out the bird
