Without wishing to give my location away, our little court where we live used to be a builder’s yard and you can still see the washed out painted sign on the side of the house on the corner.

There’s another interesting thing on the road we’re off, which is a sign cut into one of the houses in the way that the council used to mark road names here (same font, placement, everything) that says ‘Ocean Place’. I can’t find Ocean Place on any historical maps of the area at all - it seems the road has always had its current name, but this looks as official as it comes. I’ve never figured it out, and the internet can’t help me on it.
