Depends on the antipersperant, but if you’re using it to stop/curb excessive sweating, it’s more effective on dry skin the night before and showering in the morning (then use just a deodorant spray to top off should you so wish)

The most effective ones are things like certain dri roll on. No scent, they just stop sweat.
