Can we have one for romantic/sexual partners, one for family/friends and another for everyone else please?

I’d answer differently for all of these.

#3

I’d go as far as to say I find it weirdly satisfying sharing some of these things. I should be locked up, I know.

#4

It entirely depends. My son can use whatever the fuck he wants, girlfriend/wife can use whatever she wants, everyone else can get to fuck.

#5

Oh good point, but some things should never be shared like toothbrushes!

#6

sharing a toothbrush is too extreme for this thread. surely no one has ever entertained the idea?

#7

Also ‘given a choice’ needs clarifying. Like I left my toothbrush in a hotel last month so the next night and following morning I had to use my girlfriend’s or not brush my teeth. Obviously I own my own toothbrush but I’d always borrow one over going without

#8

My brother and I use the same toothbrush to clean our bicycles :bicyclist:

#9

I’d probably share my toothbrush in an “emergency”. I know it’s not advisable.

#10

what possible emergency?! surely going a day or so without a brush is preferable to sharing a toothbrush.

wtf guys.

#11

Someone asked to use my toothbrush recently and I had to admit mine was the star wars lightsabre given to me by DiS secret santa :joy:

#12

my feelings

#13

did you say ‘its the star wars one, but no you can’t use it because that’d be a bit gross m8’.

#14

Fine with all of those

#15

No I said sure as long as you don’t mind using the one that’s for under-10s

#16

There’s a difference here for me.

  1. I would let someone (close enough) use my toothbrush in an emergency.
  2. I would not want to borrow someone else’s toothbrush in an emergency.

Those sentences are pleasingly the same length.

The difference being that in the latter scenario, the toothbrush in question has been used lots of times by someone else.

edit to spoiler, but I’m keeping it anyway. In the draft they are the same length. Weird.

#17

See?

#18

what would you do in this toothbrushless emergency? fingerbrush?

#19

Depends who.

I’d share all of those things with my boyfriend.

I’d share most things with my best friend.

I wouldn’t share any of those things with people at work.
