oh also washing the following, which are in a bag in the corner of my room:
3 tote bags that smell
2 fleecey blankets
dressing gown
scruffy hoodie

Oh yeah, should probably book some follow up doctors appointments, but cba. Meat shovel grave etc anyway so what’s the point.

i’m supposed to make my yearly appointment at opthamology
can’t. be. arsed.

even if i do normally get a 9am appointment, then an excuse to do fuck all that entire day because i can’t see afterwards.

I’ll do you a deal: you make that one and I’ll make the phone call about getting a rheumatology referral RIGHT NOW

Doctors appointment (not currently exhibiting any symptoms, so feels like a waste).

Getting two colleagues to sign my CIHT membership application (asked a boss guy a couple of weeks ago, without response - how very encouraging and welcoming for someone wanting work towards professional accreditation).

Dentist.
Having second child.
Putting shelves up.

Okay, but I’m not going to make it RIGHT NOW

This feels like a trap.

Did it anyway because I’m a sucker.

“…oh, it says we’ve not seen you since July, is that right?”

YES FUCK OFF I KNOW

i hope so!

omg here’s a story about what I’ve just gone through:

I was referred to Chiropody by my Rheumatology consultant back in AUGUST and heard nothing until a couple of weeks ago when I received a letter in the post to say I had to call to confirm I that wanted an appointment.
During the call, they then said they’d be calling me within the next week or so to confirm the date.
A week passed, and the phone rang, except they weren’t confirming the date, I was having a phone consultation, in which the Chiropodist said “Ah, yes, you definitely have reason to be referred, you’ll get a letter in the post about an appointment”.

Mrs C could def pull off dungarees while still looking glamourous.

fuck sake

I reckon it’s a new tactic to preserve NHS resources, like when the DWP make people wait five hours to speak to someone about new benefits claims.

Ugh, the frustration.

I had a similar experience, where I was referred for physio, and waited months and months and chased up similar circular letters. When I actually got the appointment, it turned out to be five minutes long, and the physio just prodded me, and went “oh yes, this is definitely bad”, and then handed me a photocopied sheet of some basic stretches. When I said “er, am I not getting treated?” she went “oh, that’s not actually covered now, you need to be referred again, and it takes about three months currently, just keep taking the painkillers instead”. I ended up going to a training school and being one of the guinea pigs the graduating students have to practice on to get their clinical hours, because I couldn’t afford to go private.

My annual appraisal forms.

This sounds awfully familiar. I waited ages for a referral, which turned out to be for the main injury/rehab physio and not the pain or rheumatology ones. Was handed a sheet of exercises and sent on my way.
