It’s a new fad in the extended, extended family. Bad enough when it’s no music, no dancing and no alcohol.
I’ve been invited to one but really don’t want to go. From what I’ve seen on Facebook it seems like it’s all the former school bully types who are most up for it. Think it’s all a big scam to steal dinner money (wallets)

this. been invited to my m9s wedding in Santa Monica next year, and along with the ‘stag’ in Vegas, its about 2 grand all in.

What is a segregated wedding?
Men separated from the women. That includes the groom and bride. It’s in vogue for certain pious sections of the family.
One person does the marrying, the groom followed by the bride. There’s a 20 min window where the groom is married to the bride, but the bride is not married to the groom.
What? That’s not real
Sadly, it is. Not talking about the legal civil ceremony with a registrar. This is the religious ceremony by the iman (not legally binding under UK law, but legal enough under God)
