I like my halloumi to be griddled so you get the crispy bits of cheese

Looks so wrong. Sounds like a sex toy.

Aye did baja fish tacos the other week. Kinda forgot that boiling oil doesn’t really change until you put something in it so nearly took the kitchen down when I dropped that first coddy goujon in the pan.

considering I took the tip of my thumb off with a potato peeler a few weeks back, it’s probably best I stay mandoline free

Growing up my family didn’t have a toaster so we had to grill bread for it to become toast. That was the gateway for me.

  1. Replaced the broken oven
  2. Replaced the broken sink cupboard
  3. Knocked the whole thing down and replaced it with a better kitchen.

Good edit

you get a vegetable holster / handle thing. always use that.

was close to buying one of those wee immersion cookers you can stick on to pots etc to have a go at sous viding

they’re not that cheap though

In my old flat I fried something and the oil bubbled up so much it overflowed everywhere and sank in to the electric workings of the hob and then a couple of days later it literally exploded.

I didn’t get away with reasonable wear and tear with the landlord on that one :pensive:

Is this the filth thread or not?

You should DEFINITELY livestream it.

My old housemate was like that when I started uni. He asked me how you make a pot noodle and I told him to fill it with water and put it on the hob. Thought it was a funny joke until he actually turned the hob on.
