Things you've owned and lost as an adult and will never own again

Yesterday morning I part-owned a conservatory.

It was the first conservatory I’ve ever owned.

Now I don’t own one because some nice people smashed it to pieces and put it in a skip.

I don’t think I will ever own another conservatory.

What things have you acquired for the first time on or after your eighteenth birthday, that you have subsequently ceased to own, and which you strongly believe you will never own again?

Your hair has become transparent?!

I didn’t pay enough attention reading the thread requirements.

Nor did @casinobay .

Can I ask how you part-own a conservatory?

But also, white hair is transparent isn’t it?

I’d love a conservatory

I used to own a small car. My current car is small by today’s standards but IMO it is too big. I don’t think I will own another car that I think is small again because that sort of normal small size doesn’t seem to exist anymore. I looked at a newer version of my old car once and they’d made the boot tiny so I didn’t buy it.

A golf ball holder made out of a kangaroos scrotum.

It was a gift from a student. I don’t play golf. And I don’t like castrating marsupials.

Strongly hope that our generation will end the scourge of the conservatory once and for all. Pointless ugly things that are only an acceptable temperature to actually sit in for about 3 days a year.

Yeah, but we get Keir Starmer in return :weary:

I don’t. It got demolished yesterday!

My wife also owned it.

I hope that you didn’t just demolish your half.

Kept mine, so between that and the PS5 I can play all five generations. If only I ever had the time.

It’s been an emotional conservatory: even the wife is in tiers!

We had to hold ourselves back from offering to go out and help.
