…makers markets are almost always shite.
Occasionally you’ll find a good pie, but that’s it.
Let’s stop pretending we’re enjoying them.

Makers Mark is alright though.
Haven’t had any since pre-covid though so i may not stand by this opinion
A very White Person thing
Yeah.
The Levenshulme one’s the only one I’ve been to which isn’t 99% middle-aged white people talking about their dogs.
Markie Mark’s Make-y Make Markety Market
What are they? I don’t think I’ve ever been to one
Alright for a free sample, not alright for charging 35 quid for a bottle of rum or whatever
Like the stalls that do the ott brownies but thats about it.
Not really. A makers market is like a mixture between a farmers market and a crafts market, I guess.
It’s specifically crafts people selling tat that irks me.
I like traditional markets and flea markets, etc.
Makers Markets & The Funky Bunch
There’s a specific thing with makers markets and independent shops which annoys me. Why are they so fucking obsessed with Frida Kahlo? Leave her alone, man. Every shop and stall, ffs.
It’s Friday afternoon, can’t we save this kinda of misery posting for a Tuesday or something?
I reckon the problem is, if you’re a crafty person people are always telling you you should go into business. So some people do, except then it’ll quickly become obvious that if you want to earn a living there are really two main ways to make that happen for most crafts - 1. Sell a small number of high quality items at a really high price, or 2. Find something you can make quickly in high volume and not worry if it’s shit, if anyone actually wants a book folded into the word ‘love’ or a spray painted pine cone or whatever, or if you even enjoyed making it.
it’s what she would’ve wanted
Bugduv is a champ but this is primo midweek material wasted on the Friday crew
Love it when a good old fashioned head shop just spawns in one of these. Jam shop, jam shop, ooh weed grinder.
Trentham stole our Stafford one
I much preferred it when it was in Stafford! Been the Trentham one a couple of times and it just gets so busy, it was much nicer when it was in Stafford. (Coincidentally im heading to Stafford for coffee this morning ).
I assume you haven’t been in the dog thread.
