Didn’t realize you had written pretty much the same up thread lol

Every time the man gives you grief, just be fine with it.

Maybe pick your battles, though this man is the ultimate winner, the perfect storm a bloodied face, on camera, noble reason for staying on plane = $$$$$$$
If he had just got off with a bit of a grumble like me or japes there would have been no where near as much publicity even though in essence it would be the same.

love imagining the united employee after all this has gone down sitting really awkwardly in the dude’s seat for the whole flight getting evils off every other passenger

This is wild.

I mean obviously the Daily Mail are scumbags but why do they have all this information about a man who got dragged off the plane? Like oh he deserved it cause he’s a bad doctor and had gay sex. LOL

for christ’s sake

lets just have the right wing press lined up against a wall and shot, and be done with it for a while.

If you’re unfortunate enough to get caught up in some incident that “goes viral” (is that what it still gets called?) is this the shit that you’ve got to put up with? The daily fucking mail trawling through all evidence of your existence to put together something like this?

if hes had a relationship with a patient (assuming the US is regulated in the same way as the UK) a lot of this will be in the public domain anyway

it’s definitely in the public interest to know about this guy’s private life

i mean obviously this has nothing to do with him being dragged off a plane even though he bought a ticket, im just saying

I know it’s not the point, but two other things crossed my mind when watching this. Firstly, did no other person volunteer to give up their flight so this pensioner could keep theirs? Secondly, did anyone try to stop them from assaulting him? I like to think i’d have done both.

The airline deserves everything they get from it. Hope he takes them to the cleaners. But it also poses questions about how much people are willing to look after eachother…and why we allow people to abuse the small amounts of authority they might have. Airports piss me off at the best of times. Full of bullies.

The USA is just completely fucked up in every way. Burn it down.

Tbh it looked as though it all unfolded pretty quickly. There’s realistically only about 10 people that could have overheard that he was a doctor and had patients to look after, but I’m sure the whole plane may have volunteered to disembark had they known that united secrurity were going to pulp the guy.

If you lay so much as a finger on a cop, aviation or otherwise, you are getting slapped with felony assault. This happened in Chicago, the police here are staggeringly poor. Check out the statement, the old “tripped and fell”. I can totally understand not diving in to help. I’d have raised my objections, tried to swap places, but no way am I touching a cop - pretty sure I’d be deported on the spot, probably after taking a kicking.

Louisville is about a 4-5 hour drive without traffic, the cabin crew might even have made the next flight if they’d driven. It just seems like such a heavy handed, stupid way of operating.

speaking of armrests it was weird that they didn’t even raise his arm rest before pulling him out of his seat and instead decided to just carelessly drag him over the top
