is their favourite insult “liberal?” by any chance.
Basically I’ve distanced myself from a lot of anarchists or at least that whole social scene because there’s a lot of posh kids using their social capital to dominate everything, and idealise pointless stuff like having the right clothes/mates and doing things like hunt sabbing (which is mainly amusing yourself by winding up posh people) over anything useful or helpful. And some of the more serious ones have bad issues with racism and sexism they’re not very willing to address.
So I’m more focused on the whole building co-ops, setting up things based on mutual aid rather than profit and being radically inclusive side of things, and learning from the mistakes of previous projects where people only paid lip service to those values. I’m not particularly anti the existence of the state, I owe a lot to state healthcare and education, and I tend to find that the people who are all like “smash the state, we’ll sort out everything afterwards” tend not to be be people who have had to rely on them (and struggle to get a toilet cleaning rota running).
