Those Quooker taps must cost a fortune

Instant boiling water. Must use loads of electricity? Feels wrong.

Agreed. Thought that for a while but not done the sums. Can’t imagine anyone here has one, seems very Tory

Imagine not having to wait a bit to make a tea. That’s all part of the fun.

Apparently standing on one leg while it boils is good for you. Can’t do that with a Quooker

kettles use a lot of electricity though, you idiot

Having a Quooker must be similar to having a kettle boiling permanently imo

Yes, only worth having if there’s a pretty much constant demand for boiling water I’d imagine like in an office or something

What I wouldn’t mind having is a water softener built into the water supply

it doesnt cost nearly as much energy to maintain a temperature as to get to it.

One for fizzy water would be great

My grandma’s town in Italy has communal taps/fountains in the town centre where you can go fill up your water bottles and bring back home. They’ve got one tap for still and one tap for sparkling. It’s wicked

As a complete tea-twat I believe there is a genuine difference with freshly boiled water vs reboiled water and would be concerned how this might impact brew quality.

It is okay to hate me.

There definitely is a difference. Reboiled water is shite.

It draws 10 watts to keep the water at temperature, so a tenth of a lightbulb.a kettle draws 3000 watts

tea defo isn’t as good from these magic boiling water taps. reboiled water is fine tho
