Would just like to say Cannon Fodder is a brilliant game, which still plays really well today. I was playing the Megadrive port and that was good even without a mouse, and I actually got further than I ever did on the Amiga

Even got past the level where you have to jump a jeep off a cliff into a river, and get out before you die!

Got wiped on an absolutely psychotic level where you race a skidoo around a small ‘track’ while cannon turrets shoot at you, as another vehicle chases and tries to ram you to death, and you don’t have the explosives to destroy half of them so you have to hope the turrets shoot each other lolololol

Great game, although level design became more sadistic as it went on

Ever play the demo disc on Amiga Power where Sensible mashed together this game and Sensible Soccer, and made Cannon Soccer?

It was amiga format, but yeah, it was great

(the amiga power demo was Bulldog Blighty, the one with the football that exploded)

Found cannon fodder quite nails but did complete it but weirdly found the sequel a piece of piss. Not quite as good either.

lots of amiga happenings recently, they’ve final figured out the decades long legal stuff around who owns amiga

Amiga and Commodore International Corporation have entered into a licensing agreement recognizing their respective rights

above is promising as the new owners of commodore have done some good stuff with the C64 and that upcoming phone.

Guess they dont have exclusive rights though as the retro games a1200 is now officially amiga (wonder if the final product will have the embossed amiga logo on it instead of a1200)

also you can now get AROS, an attempted continuation of the Amiga Os not emulation, on raspberry pi
