I think people probably naturally accumulate possessions over the course of their life, and if there isn’t an apparatus set up to mitigate this, then everything should be returned at the end of life.

This is why I keep all my receipts.

probably should have some in depth happiness/contentment evaluations carried out monthly by an independent body and resources can be allocated around that. Some people will require more “money” and involvement than others to have a fulfilling and content life.
