Too long for my tastes. Plus I like to keep rego exclusively as a shorthand for when I go somewhere Iâve already been to.
Example: the Lewisham municipal dump was a very amenable place to spend a Sunday afternoon disposing of fridges. I may well rego.

The -o ending is too Australian imo
I found it so strange that even the government websites in NZ & Au refer to it as rego. More like accepted language than slang.
