I’ve lost my first guitar and feel really bad about it

maybe i could buy your mum’s bass and recover some of the sentimental value

I am willing to include any and all sentimental value in the sale. At a slight premium, of course.

no valentine’s card for your gf and then this?!?!?! you monster

I smashed my first guitar (encore 3/4 nylon strung) in a fit of teenage angst, still feel bad about it, never threw away the pieces

Yeah my parents are pretty cool, and would be happy to have me at home I think. But then I’d have to get a job at home and I really hate the only place I could work…

Ahhh

@Epimer, sell the five string, get the Lakland.

I sold my first guitar, which I didn’t use as it was a proper shredder’s guitar, Floyd Rose and everything. Don’t miss it to this day and spent the money on something much more useful, in this case a Telecaster.

You look like a man who’s in dire need of an extra string on his bass.

I’m strictly a four string man myself Eps. (Unless you want to sell me the VI.)

The VI stays!

(so does the P bass)

DON’T DO IT

DO WHAT

Don’t call h_y_g a helmet.

I sold my 1st guitar with no concern at all - just a cheap stray copy

2nd guitar was a bright orange charvel shred machine

Charvel Fusion Deluxe - Catalog Scan - See this image on Photobucket.

Kind of wish I’d kept it - I don’t play metal any more, but it was such a beast

I should clarify that it’s not even my first bass, it’s my third one. But it was a gift.

You could ask your mum if she’d mind much? Just say you don’t play it really any more or something?

That is an UGLY guitar

I remember how much trouble I had selling my Tokai Rickenbacker copy. I’d bought it from a regular shop so I was a bit surprised to find it had basically always been ‘illegal’ and Rickenbacker were demons about keeping their copyright to the look of Ricky guitars. Had my listings taken four times I think but luckily someone had seen the details and was able to contact me privately.

FUCK IT: I’m buying it. And keeping the old one.

Maybe he could get a tennis racket for that? Uses up less storage space.

was very much in favour of the old one until i noticed that.

SOLUTION:

get a 4 string bass in the same finish as the old one - your mum will never realise you sold it and it looks infinitely better than lake placid blue. win win.
