Took me about three years to fully love it. The big hitters (Everlasting, Stand, Try) are all immediate for me, but the rest scrambled my teenage brain. Top 3 Pumpkins for me now.
Best listened to at ear splitting levels…
Bit 5 is so good. Wish it had been on TFE before or after Strayz.
That low note in the solo
Proper M83ish that one…
Hmm, his kids are going to be really confused ?
Not sure how Vanilla passed me by all of these years, it’s a really nice song.
I swear some more recent band has a song with that same guitar hook, it’s driving me crazy.
Similar to Mistakes and Regrets by Trail of the dead
The whole ignoffo tapes are excellent, half electric/half acoustic
That’s a good shout, I can definitely hear that in the progression. There’s another one though where it’s the same exact thing - note for note, the pattern / rhythm - like it was completely lifted. Going to drive me crazy for the next few months I’m sure.
I really need to track those down. I know I’ve heard parts of them, but never all at once and they were probably old really low quality versions. Those songs from the 80s are underrated.
Another really nice one:
Christmastime just came on a playlist.
Asked the Google to play spotify and it took it upon itself to play Today, 1979 and now BWBW
gonna listen to all of mellon collie in one go with my monitor headphones
Eye is now playing while we DiS zoom.
One song in the finale of The Bachelorette ripped off the Porcelina intro and another one ripped off Let Me Give the World to You. Wonder if Chris Harrison is a fan.
Just watched an average Jason Bateman comedy called Bad Words and for some reason they play Snail at the end and throughout the credits
i’ve probably posted this before, these poor kids
[yep: It looks like your link to www.youtube.com was already posted in the topic by @ttf in a reply on 21 Dec '19 – are you sure you want to post it again?]
Bad Words is about a spelling bee, do Americans think Snail is the song that all the kids love?
Can’t stop listening to CYR. What are everyone’s Top 5 from the album at this point?
