I went to see the new Harry Potter film last night, because tickets were £2.50 and frankly I was bored. I’m not a particular Harry Potter fan, but it was decent enough, the sort of film you get on bank holidays. Then I looked at a review when I got in, and turns out it’s the first of another series of five. Jesus. It’s not like JK Rowling needs the money by this point.

I still haven’t ever bothered to get round to seeing those films of the Hobbit, but I’m still confused about how they managed to drag a short children’s book out into a trilogy (or was it four films?).

Yeah, as you say - you’re not responsible for them. I think they’re within their rights to ask but I think you’re within your rights to say no.

Just got back from a haircut, what should have taken about 45 minutes tops (taking an inch off and tidying up the layers) took over an hour and a half as the hairdresser kept getting distracted.

Also, hairdressers always seem to take one look at me and think “right, you look dull, it’s mum-hair for you” when all I ask for is a bit off the length and a tidy. My hair’s gone from Season 5 Rory Gilmore to Season 1 Emily Gilmore

Got asked why I was just wearing a t-shirt today by my boss as it’s apparently freezing. Yeah, it is, but not in this stuffy office.

In a foul mood today, major breakdown in comms over some work yesterday, I was running around trying to sort it.

I have commented to myself, in my head, about the coldness of the weather today. Have not yet spoken to anyone else.

Worked a double shift (in reality one and a half) last night so had a good lie in today. Bit sniffly/sore throat so I’ve brought my laptop and a massive cup of tea (with honey) to bed with me and planning to stay here for a while. Working again tomorrow afternoon/evening, probably have some drinks afterwards. And on Thursday is one of the annual highlights of my calendar, namely a Christmas concert with my favourite Christmas band! And Christmassy pre-drinks at mine. Got to get all of my Christmas decorations up by then.

Ooooh and I just got asked via email to interview the director of the film The Daughter, which is just now coming out in cinemas here. Based on an Ibsen play so obviously us Norwegians are all over that. Excellent stuff.
