didn’t know where to post this, but anyway.
the big news article from my town in spain today was that a man nearly choked to death on a piece of meat inside a local restaurant but was saved by a doctor who was eating in the same establishment.
this line at the end absolutely did me:
La actividad en el establecimiento no llegó a detenerse en ningún momento. Los clientes que en ese momento llenaban la terraza del restaurante ni siquiera se enteraron bien de lo que sucedía dentro. En cuanto a los que estaban en el comedor, tampoco llegaron a levantarse de sus mesas.
Activity in the establishment did not stop at any point. The customers who were eating on the restaurant’s terrace at the time were not even aware of what was going on inside. As for those in the dining room, they did not even get up from their tables.
Big fan of this proper “old man yells at cloud” comment on the Guardian article about Taylor Swift tickets
The quotes around “app” are phenomenal posting
Probably the real reason this person no longer goes to live music is that they’re a hundred years old
This guy’s gonna flip when he learns about the existence of pockets
got a feeling this person had a play around on a few geocities sites about 25 years ago, downloaded a virus when trying to download new images for his icons and then gave up on the internet entirely.
It is an amazing comment
Such a minor thing to pick on but this
What is “so-called” about them?
Where has he been putting his hands all this time?
Digital transformation! It’s too much! They’re emailing tickets now! When will it end!
Splodges on my phone screen!!!
Gets funnier the more I reread it.
So much weird irony in posting on a newspaper’s website comment board but not being able to understand digital tickets. Not sure it’s not a wind up.
Still go back to this when I need a laugh.
If it’s a wind-up, it’s one of the best I’ve seen in a long time, perfectly worded
This was under a clip from notoriously bad disaster movie sequel Airport ‘79 on YouTube
This was a review of Elbow Grease kitchen degreaser spray
That reminds me I once bought a little tub of ‘Dog Oil’ from a charity shop and gifted it to a friend. Still got no idea what you are supposed to do with it as there were no instructions or ingredients. It was literally a white tub the size of hair wax that said ‘Dog Oil’ on it.
I find if you use it when cooking a stir-fry it really makes the veg come alive
Below an article about a shoe shop closing:
Guess the song.
The answer, somehow, is… Maggie May
