Her latest album was a slow starter for me. The first two songs are average but then tracks like Between Stars are brilliant and lead to an excellent rest of the album.

Feeling completely burned out from this week, first from three nights terrible sleep, and then on top of that a really full-on week at work. I’m off on my first holiday of this year in a couple of weeks but work between now and then is going to be insane so I’m a bit concerned I’m just going to sleep through the whole thing we’ve been planning for so long.

Tonight I’m meant to be going to a private view, definitely the kind of tired that’ll mean I’m battered after a glass of prosecco.

Evening, just had dinner with a pal, now I’ll sit doing nothing for 2 3/4 hours until The Circle comes on

Gotta do my readings. Swear I have the attention span and av. reading time of a five year old.

:grinning: I know! We made friends after their show at AYL? fest in Reading in April. We chat on Instagram now from time to time  she had to quit the band recently tho cos of living in a different city and being busy with her other projects. She’s a cool babe.

Had a very nice day at Peppa Pig World although now the theme tune is so firmly lodged in my head that I’m starting to feel a bit trapped. Don’t want to end up like a friend of a friend who had Lady In Red stuck in his head for so long he had to have therapy to rid himself of it.

They had loads of Halloween stuff at Paultons Park so enjoyed the bonus spooking too.

Off to see the Wildhearts, getting there unusually early because I found out today that Janus Stark are back together and opening!!!111 I know! THE Janus Stark! The ones who had that one amazing pop punk song on the Varsity Blues (1998) soundtrack! Should be fun or shite or a bit of both. Never seen the Wildhearts but I like p.h.u.q a lot so hopefully they’ll play a fair bit off that and it won’t be a regrettable impulse buy.

Ah man that’s a shame. Got a heck of a voice on her too. Convince her to put on nights again if/when you next speak! We love playing with her

Marvin Gaye on the auld stereo, got a nice soup to have that I’ll probably top off with some sausage rolls

Can’t believe today wasn’t a Friday. I have lived several weeks within this one week

Just had a 25 minute phone call with my dad discussing why it’s not logistically possible to take my brothers three piece suite that he’s getting rid of. 25 minutes . Anyone in Glasgow want some free brown leather sofas?

Therapy for lady in red, whit?!

An absolutely classic amount of time to be on the phone to your dad discussing logistics for a 3 piece suite :grinning:

Yeah he had to learn a load of techniques for breaking thought patterns and avoiding situations that might trigger it. Took him about six months to be entirely rid but was living with it for about five years prior.

Had to go to Fort William and back for a work thing today. Lots of driving but gorgeous views the whole way, especially the wispy morning clouds, mega autumnal vibes :maple_leaf::mountain: Just had a bath - feels very decadent having a bath mid-week :woman_in_steamy_room:t3:

I felt so bad that I was having to cut him short on various tangents. I just know he is now on the phone to my bro repeating all of this all over again when I’ve already said no to him
