Two things on the Europa League;

Seen as Man Utd are gonna make it through the groups, it’ll be interesting to see the league table and their form come to the knockouts next year. If they’re seriously adrift of top four - which, given that Chelsea and Liverpool aren’t in Europe, and Arsenal and City look more than decent, and they’re already a bit behind - you’d think they’d take it very seriously, despite Mou poo-pooing it in the past. There’s some really decent teams in the competition - probably some Champions League rejects, and the second-tier Spanish clubs especially - but on paper their manager and squad are massively ahead of the rest of the competition. Big favourites imo

We absolutely should be taking it seriously (and not just for the CL place) but we have been fucking junk in Europe this season (and last as well obvs).

Predicting we’ll struggle a bit tonight (gasp!) Turkish teams at home are a very different proposition to how they travel.

Inter must be cursed. Never seem to be able to sort their shit out nowadays. Admittedly they had a pretty sound run under Mancini and Maureen, but everything since has been farcical.
