I think I’ll wait for the Brexit apocalypse to pass before buying so will try renting first. Locaton wise in the short term I’d like to live in the west end or south side but as I’ll be field based and travelling all over the country I ideally need to be near the airport/central station/motorways. Sadly all of those things are at opposite ends of the city! So I dunno really!

I don’t think brexit will have any effect on house prices in Scotland as prices aren’t currently overinflated here, unlike parts of the south-west of England, and a high % of property owners are owner-occupiers, meaning the market is far less distorted by investor house purchasers. The only thing that has ever caused a housing price crash in Scotland was the credit crunch because by definition people couldn’t borrow. And even then it was more of a dip than a crash, and it corrected itself very very quickly.

Christmas do tonight, finishes at 10pm but I might slink off as soon as I’ve had my allocated drinks and canapes

I’ve been more interested in rooting through the staff sale in the basement, got loads of little gifts for my goddaughter and a space backpack for my godson :relaxed:

Treated myself to a lil bit of festiva :pizza: as well yay

Hmm it’s interesting that you think that. I still want to rent for a little while as I’m so unsure of where I want to live. Part of me would love to live on the coast but it would be a pain for work travel.
