I was going to weigh myself today actually. I was already at my heaviest ever but think I’ve put more weight on since last weighing and I’m curious so that when I actually start getting fit again I can see how much I’ve lost. But is it worth knowing and feeling depressed about it when I’ve no intention of even starting being good until all the Xmas cheese is gone? Probably not.

They hadn’t woken up yet. Their mum called the phone and we answered it and she said the daft cow is staying off at her sister’s house, on our street, could we please drop it off there.

Took me two trips to get anyone to answer the door. They’re all a bit rough this morning.

Id say don’t do it. I always find seeing how high the scale is to be a really good shock motivator factor when I’m ready to start anew. No point doing it now if you’re not quite ready to let go of cheese.

I like this approach a lot.

The two places I see weight gain / loss in is my cheeks and by tummy. Using photos rather than numbers, I think that would be more inspirational / less liable to make me beat myself up.

Yeah, I’m sure she’ll be ok really. When we went away last we took her to a friend of a friend’s and stayed there for a while to show her around and reassure her and she dealt with that ok.

Thankfully the person we’ve found to look after her has got back to us and all is fine, so it’ll just be a short trip across town rather than an hour or so. Still gonna miss the little menace though.
