Got a leaflet through the door about consultation on redevelopment of Basildon town centre and now getting all angry thinking how few of the proposed 2,400 homes will be social housing (from what I understand even if they all were it wouldn’t wipe out the housing list for the borough, so it is even more grotesque thinking of developers cashing in and barely pay3lip service to actual community needs).

Fuck capitalism so fucking much

Afternoon folks

Spent the morning down at the beach rockpooling, then jumping the waves since the tide was coming in fast. Wasn’t really dressed for the occasion, but life’s too short to get upset about stuff like that.

There’s banoffee pie in the fridge to be taken to a barbecue at some friends later. Will I be breaking lockdown rules? I’m not sure we will if the adults socially distance in their garden.

Need to pop out this afternoon to get some beers to drink at the barbecue.
