Found out today that the organisation I’m working for has decided to stop hiring people to do this work, work almost exclusively done by women. Happy international women’s day!
But the cafeteria was decorated with paper hearts and someone was giving out free lurid pink macarons so I guess it’s alright!!!
Evening DiS. Tonight’s lonely chain restaurant of choice is Yo Sushi. Gonna get octopus balls and squid. Feeling like a bad daughter as I’d been putting off phoning home as I’d be calling for mother’s day anyway and it turns out she had an MRI today and will need a major operation. Big bunch of flowers coming up!

It’s fine, nothing life threatening just another in a series of spinal operations to try to stop her being paralysed due to arthritis. Last time meant dad had to cook for her for months which is the most worrying part!
Probably should have read the rest of the post before windmilling in with a testicle gag, eh.

I’m feeling quite deflated about my IWD event at work. I worked really hard organising it and felt like no one really enjoyed it and just moaned about a load of details
