Got engaged yesterday which is very nice.

Had a bonus child free day from about lunchtime.
Lazed around playing vidya, then spent some time the wife and then made a hasty plan to go see oppenheimer. Currently on train. Gonna grab a quick munch, watch film, maybe a pint or two and then train home.
This sort of random last minute plan stuff is what i miss in my life most of all.

Alright. But of a nothingy day, but well needed. Made some pizzas (cheese and tommos for the kids, feta and caramelised red onion for the grown ups)

Had a pizza to get rid of my “I’m in my late 30s and had three pints and the worst Old Fashioned of my life last night” niggling hangover. Seems to have done the job.
Now going to lie on the sofa until bed time.

Went into an allotment and a guy there kept shouting “don’t take anything!” (clearly wasnt going to) then coming over and giving us things anyway. Got some cucumbers/cornichons, raspberries and a bag of rhubarb.
Went out for tea (salt and pepper cauliflower and dhal) and bumped into my bestie 
Taking her for an ice cream
