Happy Maundering @thewarn and all.

Today, finish assembling the TV’s greenhouse while she’s at work. Try to get the kids to do some of their easter homework. Both projects fraught with potential disaster.

Good Friday, up to Banbury with one ATD in order to visit another ATD. Absolute mission of a drive and fear that everyone else will be driving that day too.

Indifferent Saturday, still at ATD’s then driving home in the evening.

Easter Sunday, eggs.

Go to Grasmere for some gingerbread (just checked is vegan)

Now I need to look out a tie. This is getting complicated.

I emptied three packets of Mini Eggs into a bowl yesterday so I wouldn’t have to rummage around in the bag for them. Absolute gamechanger, ate the whole lot in about two minutes.

I’m out of them now though so I’m aiming to eat six Easter eggs in one day instead.

I am going to stake out a claim for being the most tiredy custards of all. Woken up at about 2am by a loud persistent beeping. Lay awake for ages hoping it would stop. It did not. Scoured the house for the source of the beeping until I realised it was coming from just outside. It was a smoke alarm making the “I need new batteries” alarm. Our shit new neighbours (see neighbours thread for more details) had clearly failed to open the alarm and solve the problem so they had just put the alarm outside the house (closer to our house) and left it beeping and gone to bed. They are such shit human beings.

(I did one for something similar just after uni, 2x 2.5k runs on a treadmill at 2% inclind, 1st one had to be done in 12mins, second in 15iirc. Then 20kg carry around a course)

If you’re around Keswick and you’re looking for other walking options, Castle Crag is minimal effort for a fantastic view - there are even a few free places to park on the road down passed Derwent Water around Grange.
