Did he have one proper boss move?

Used to train with a dude who was a idiot savant with the ezequiel choke. Could bang it out from anywhere. Terrible at mostly everything else.

I think he was doing something like: knee slicing when I was pulling half guard, back stepping, taking the back and finishing with a bow and arrow choke.

Tapped me with it twice within the space of about three minutes.

Oooh, used to teach this if its what I think it is

if you’re on top of the deep half-guard you need to block the underhook arm (with your head) then bring your arm across to the otherwise and use it to pull the guy and into your lap, then you’ve got their back

This basically

but with no-gi its way more difficult to control

:joy: literally my neighbourhood, maybe 3 min walk from my door

it’ll be alright man.

This was exactly the video I was going to post I play a lot of leite style half guard so this was a bit of a killer.

Still mulling over how he was able to prevent the far side underhook could well be because he was blocking it with his head or just timing it for when I took away my knee shield and shot for the underhook.

Some organisations might advance you part of your first salary before payday, if that would help, I dunno.

if you are pressed for time you could just watch this instead

Just spoke to my Dad on the phone, he was getting ready to go out on the digger and dig some holes  for the first time ever I actually questioned why he was digging them. He’s building some sheds.

happy birthday for tomorrow dude!

I am really, really, really bored. Have another half hour before i can clock off and take the dog out. Any good websites for killing time? Ooh I wonder if cookie clicker is still going…

urgh

You will never go home.

Perfect! Thanks

I’m at work at the Students’ Union and just got a guided tour through the Halloween spooky labyrinth in the basement. It’s pretty good! They’ve got actors going around in all sorts of makeup and costumes, and there’s so many different light effects and strobes and what have you that I got really dizzy, even if I actually had a flashlight with me. We had this last year as well and you could just hear people screaming their heads off every time the actors jumped out on them.
