Been finding lately that I’m always running late for work cos I turn my phone alarm off then immediately start scrolling rather than getting up. Bought a cheap alarm clock yesterday so I can leave my phone in the living room overnight and went to bed last night with a sense of smug satisfaction. Obviously the alarm didn’t work and I was incredibly late to work as a result. Good to try these things though.

Still on a bit of a buzz from seeing Sacred Paws last night, they’re so great.

I bought 4 of those 33 1/3 books yesterday because they were on offer in the book shop. I also watched a musical and had a steak dinner. Pretty good.

Plans for today include drinking tea, finishing my book and making bolognese

Absolute years ago I got fired from a temping job because I went on a livejournal community for Harry Potter fans jokingly called “pervy old lady hp fans”. The manager screamed at me in front of everyone that I’d been looking at granny porn.

In an Old job I got told that I spent too much time on my phone and on twitter on the pc. Also challenged for spending a few hours trying to get Liverpool vs Barca tickets.

My response was is there any work I haven’t done? Nope. Do they have anything else for me to do. Nope. Left soon after.

Oh and also wearing headphones made me unapproachable…it was a terrible silent office.

Never ever look at anything personal on a work computer bar e-banking and the odd travel/hotel search. There’s absolutely no way I want anyone at work being able to see my search history (even though I’m not looking at anything dodgy).

about a decade ago, internet usage throughout the company I was working for was raised and everyone was given a telling off. I was off that day, although my manager relayed the information with me and joked about it. He knew I spent all day on here, while doing a really good job.

Pretty sure it was HR’s first step down the line of mass redundancies when the Tories came into power back in 2010.

Got the council coming to get at estimate for the house this afternoon :grimacing: weird knowing my life could go two different ways depending on what they say it’s worth

It’s one of my favourite’s last day at work tomorrow. We’re a very tiny office so I only have a couple of favourites so I am quite sad about him leaving. Trying to decide what cake to make him. Apparently no-one has ever made him a cake before! He likes coffee, so I am thinking maybe coffee. Or chocolate Guinness.
