For my course. I’m studying for a Certificate in Local Government, with an aim to building up to a degree in it. Work are paying for everything so I thought I should take advantage of it.

So we had the work table football tournament playoff and final. Sadly my team lost the playoff but I think I played well towards the end, and the people who beat us won overall. In the table football awards I won 4 medals 2 team medals (best team spirit, most improved team) and 2 individual ones (most improved player, most entertaining to watch). Played games and drank prosecco for a few hours afterwards, including sacking off a journalism tutor phone call because I was drinking and not in the journalism zone (pretended I was still working).

Just got home and tried on the stuff I bought in an online shopping spree when i was sad on Sunday because my ex didn’t reply to a message (he did the next day, oh well). 3 of the 4 items look good when paired with correct stylings (leopard print dress and black high waisted skirt from New Look and a pair of over the knee boots from Simply Be… When paired with fishnets and a shortish skirt/dress those boots are ) but the cropped lion tamer type black jacket, although looking ok at first, wasn’t nipped in at the waist and made me look like I had no silhouette, so gonna send it back. All about that waist

Now gonna have some heated up salmon pasta and go to sleep immediately after, I think.

Oh: maybe this needs a separate thread (songs with bleaker lyrics than you’d initially realised). But anyway - I had the local radio on in the car on the way home tonight and “I Am, I Feel” by Alisha’s Attic came on. Never really listened to the lyrics but it’s pretty bleak.

I released a podcast today I am very proud of so I’m posting it here. Half an hour, let me knoq you like it.

I found a pine marten badge the over week, gave it away and they lost it.

Ive got a small selection of 6x100g ‘tea shots’ from a Scottish tea company called Thom and Tea. Some traditional good ones scottish breakfast and lapsong. But also tried matcha and mocha chai which are not for me.

Got the chamomile and a green tea one still to try. Ive only got this little one cup thing at the moment need to get a big pot soon.

Got into a battle of wills with someone on the tube, plonked himself down next to me and tried to displace my elbows from the rest, stood my ground, he tried to wriggle around and pushed again, stood my ground, spent the rest of the journey pushing back from this guy, ocassionally he really flexed but I didn’t budge, gonna get stabbed one day

I’m really glad I went to ToD. It turns out nostalgia can be a good thing. Also had a nice pint.

I’m not convinced I’ll be as glad tomorrow when I need to be awake at work.

That’s a solid combo. It may be the most ubiquitous of all chillis but you can’t knock a good jalapeño sauce. I’ll have to track that down!
