I regret my last 3 drinks last night.
I was there as well. Prefer downstairs to upstairs, tbf. It feels like a venue rather than a lecture theatre. I was impressed with how quiet the audience were during the songs.
I could hear lots of sound from the bar and chatter where I was. I didn’t realise it was 2 venues in one and so was picturing the coliseum type seating there was at grouper, so was pretty disappointed it seemed like a generic mid size venue. Hope it is easy to check in future which part of the venue is in use so I know whether to hide out in Nando’s for longer
The listings say whether it’s in the theatre or the concert venue, although I didn’t realise this until someone pointed it out on here earlier this week. Last night was the concert hall; the other venue is the theatre.

Yeah it is about the same size stage as downstairs but there is seating that slopes up to the back wall, although not seats as such but large wooden steps if I remember right

Helped run a DiEM25 live event last night, seemed to get a decent response had some good speakers and some good conversation which managed to disguise some of the slightly comedic mishaps.
