Do we have a thread for “I am looking to buy A Thing but I am not sure which of The Thing I should buy”? Because I’ve decided I should buy myself a blender and I need a new laptop soon.

Love Otoboki Beaver. I should have seen them in Bristol last time they were over but an hours drive felt like too much effort. I’d do unspeakable things to watch them (or pretty much anyone) live now.

Got a glass of red wine on the go. You know how middle class people of our parents’ generation would have a glass of something every night? Rarely more than the one glass, but a nightly drink nonetheless? (Maybe it was just Mrs CCB’s parents but still). I could get quite into that.

Cant believe your fella goes that far. Mine is currently hiding because I wouldn’t let her eat an elastic band

Nothing. Absolutely Nil. Zip. Nada.

Just throw me on a time machine to summer 2023 when everything is “back to normal.”
True it was a shitty normal, but it at least has to be better than this.

although I have enjoyed the many podcasts about 80s crisps

Every time I listen to them I hear and learn something new!

I’d be quite happy to fast forward to May 2021. Lockdown has eased a bit, a good chunk of the country is vaccinated, and it’s warm enough so I not longer have to tuck my trousers into two pairs of chunky socks to keep the cold out.

Congrats, if you see what I mean. Good to know what’s going on with health stuff rather than going mad

He’s terrified of lots of things but more so of being left out. If we see a van with its engine idling we have to cross over, he tends to stick to running on walls or just alongside us but in front gardens as it’s less daunting.

Takes us ages to get anywhere as people always ask me about him or assume he’s a lost cat who we haven’t noticed is following us. The thing that really annoys me though is when people across the road see him they start trying to shout him over, across busy roads - not once have I seen them check to see if it’s safe to get a cat to run across the road to them. Luckily he’s an antisocial little bastard when it comes to strangers but I really do want to teach these adults that encouraging an animal to run across a road is not good.

Once again, what looked to be a delicious scone turned out to have granulated sugar all over it.
WHY.

Made cauliflower cheese with sausages and croquettes.

Did an hour of just dance with V. Beat him almost every time…:muscle: Knackered now. Football and contemplating opening the :clinking_glasses: dangerous though with one work day to go…

Like for you getting the validation, not for the illness. And also like for the pie.

This is not possible. You have simply ordered tomorrow’s lunch. Excellent planning.

I’m on a SuperCollider course atm, it’s fun.

Good to break all this fucking monotony at least eh. jfc.

Hate how much I want a beer rn.

Tried to play guitar and sing earlier for the first time in a while and I fucking suck  :upside_down_face:

I am sleepy. Possibly due to having two peoples worth of lasagne and over a bottle of wine.

Had to help my nephew write his own version of tiger who came to tea this morning (the elephant who crashed a picnic) as well as other school work and he was having a bit of a tough time today.

Took him hour for a 5k walk after though and he was a bit more upbeat (albeit tired).

My new super power is being fully comfortable that I suck at singing. Tim Wheeler made it. We’ll be fine.
