My colleague’s PC slows to a crawl after after a few hours of use, and takes minutes to do simple tasks. The only real [temporary] solution is to save everything, restart the computer and then set all the spreadsheets up again, which wastes the best part of half an hour. No issues on my computer, which has twice the RAM.
She emails IT, explains the problem, that it’s been going on for weeks and suggests increasing the memory or swapping it for a newer machine that can cope with the work might help.
