Liked him in Mid-Morning Matters.
The issue i have with most comedy now, though, is that dialogue between two people’s delivered in a very specific sort of Tim v Gareth style. Just watching the scene above where he goes back to the bowling alley. There’s something very precise about the delivery which is modern and grating and bloody annoys me.
Like him a lot, but with a lot of stuff i struggle to get past that, i think because i’ve had to put up with fifteen years of boring colleagues aping Brent. Genuinely think The Office has had quite a big impact on language. There’s an exact thing, like a sort of sped-up mimickery when replying to people that winds me the fuck up. I’m pretty sure it originally comes from Merchant but Tim Key does it as well.
