Toast, huh.
- Butter while hot so it melts in
- Butter one cooled a bit so it stays on top
- No butter
- Get jam out with teaspoon to avoid contamination
- Clean knife in between butter and jam
- Same knife without cleaning
- Other?
Toast, huh.
No jam, because I’m not a toddler
Same knife, but after scraping it clean.
Eh?
Same knife but I’m a marmite fella.
If I’m just having butter I’ll use the back of a teaspoon to spread it
Don’t have jam but same knife for butter then honey/PB/marmite with no cleaning in between cause life’s too short.
Considering all you really need to do is rinse an extra utencil i see reason why a yone would knowingly cross contaminate their spreads
I think there’s a sweet spot where the toast is still warm enough for the butter to melt in a bit, but cool enough that some fragments of buttery butter remain afloat. I’m usually too impatient to wait long enough for that though.
I wonder what the ÂŁ6 toast costs now, with inflation and all that. Was it ÂŁ6?
Favourite topping:
Cheese
God i cant wait to be able to eat cheese again ill eat all the cheese things including cheese on toast
Been off the cheese for 3 weeks now and its a nightmare!
cheese: very good
cheese and also worcestershire sauce: holy wowzer this is so much better
Peanut butter
Something so lush about cold toast with near solid butter on it
Melted butter is nice and all but feels like a waste of texture
I know this isn’t a serious post but infantilising people’s food preferences isn’t cool
Cheese + hot sauce is my fave
Probably should have said “spread” rather than topping, tbf
So i had beans on toast and realised the whole above thread is pointless when this is clearly the best toast option
Yeah, fair enough, sorry.
